Congratulations to Brian French from the Department of National Defence and Alexander Rink of Gazaro.
Co-op and Career Services thanks Aerospace engineering co-op students Alexandra Therien and Jack Vedelago for their nomination of Brian French. In their nomination letter, both students wrote that DND is an excellent employer for new engineers to find jobs, and, French was an excellent mentor. Therien and Vedelago had the opportunity to meet with top scientists and traveled around the country to evaluate suppliers and view test facilities.
Business students Tania Steyn and Sam Storry nominated their employer, Alexander Rink of Gazaro. Steyn complimented her employer for imparting the importance of ethics in the workplace. Storry liked being treated like any other employee and the chance to see every area of the business from initial design ideas, all the way to reviewing and incorporating the lessons learned to improve the product.
Both employers received their award at Net Night on Tuesday March 20.
Will you nominate your co-op employer next year? Co-op and Career Services calls for nominations in the fall.
