2011 Co-op Student of the Year

And The Winner Is….

The 2011 CU Co-op Student of the Year is marketing and management major, Chris Bailey.

Bailey was nominated by his supervisors at the Kanata office of high-tech giant, Alcatel-Lucent. As the student programs co-ordinator,

Bailey’s principal tasks were to assist in the hiring of post-secondary co-op students employed every term for the company’s Ottawa campus.

“Chris vastly improved the level of service that goes with this important role,” said Todd Luckasavitch, Alcatel-Lucent’s director of recruiting (North American Human Resources). “Chris gave us not only a competitive advantage in hiring co-op students, but it made Chris really stand out in his position.”
