Is Bridging for Me?
Is the Bridging Program for me?
The Bridging Program is for mature applicants who would like to earn admission to a Bachelor of Arts degree at Carleton University.
Be sure to consult the Bridging Program Coordinator to determine your eligibility as a mature applicant.
You are a mature applicant if you:
- are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; and
- you have not attended a college or university as full-time student; and
- you have been away from full-time studies for at least two calendar years; and
- you do not meet the normal admission requirements (as published in the Undergraduate Calendar).
- You must disclose all previous college and university studies before you register.
- Some college and university programs may not be recognized by Carleton. For example, if you studied in a one-year certificate program or at a career college, you may still be able to take Bridging.
- Since the language of instruction at Carleton University is English, a written and oral command of English is necessary. Proof of English Language Proficiency may be required.
