Out of school for some time? Ever consider studying at university?
The Bridging Program offers mature learners a way to qualify and prepare for a university degree while earning a university credit. The topic of the course varies from year to year. Eligible participants who earn the required grade can apply directly to a Bachelor of Arts program at Carleton University.
The Bridging Program offers:
- a university credit course that counts toward your degree
- a chance to develop and practice academic skills including library research, essay writing, oral presentations, note taking, test preparation and critical thinking
- an introduction to the Carleton campus and services
- frequent feedback on your work from the course instructor
- free peer academic coaching
- specialized academic advising
- support from an in-class peer mentor
- access to all Carleton University services (e.g., library, Learning Support Services, computer account)
- a streamlined process to apply to a Carleton BA program after you complete Bridging
