Join us for intimate performances by Ugandan-­‐Canadian Singer-­‐Songwriter, Rita Carter, and Senegalese-­‐Canadian, Oumar Ndiaye.

This event is in conjunction with a one-­‐day conference at Carleton University organized by the Institute of African Studies, “South Africa after Apartheid: Critical Reflections.”

These critically acclaimed musicians will offer solo performances and provide their own reflections on the significance of the
struggle against apartheid for Africans, African diaspora and contemporary culture.

8pm, Friday November 7th, at Pressed (750 Gladstone).
